On June 25-26, 2011, Brendan Duffy, Operations Manager for Titus Built, participated in the Bike to create a world free of MS Fundraiser. Brendan, along with a few of his friends, represented Colwen Management/Town Place Suites Marriott, North Kingston, RI.
We are proud of Brendan for participating in this year’s cycle run for MS. Prior to the event, Brendan practiced a few bike runs, but wasn’t sure how he would ever finish the ride. When he came back from the event he told us “It wasn’t as bad as I thought.” Anytime he felt like giving up, he would think about the cause he was biking for and it gave him the burst of energy needed to finish the ride. Kudos to Brendan for raising approximately $1,200 towards the Rhode Island Chapter goal of $830,000!

According to MS, Rhode Island Chapter, “over 800 cyclists took to the roads of Rhode Island and Southeastern Connecticut for the 24th annual Bike MS Ride the Rhode. In true New England fashion, thunderstorms were in the forecast but we never saw a drop of rain, as they wound their way from the Narragansett Pier School to the overnight at Connecticut College where a cold Harpoon beer and finish line BBQ awaited them. Day 2 was bright and sunny and turned into a gorgeous summer day as our riders cycled up the coast back to the Narragansett… We are proud to say that we have already raised over $650,000 and are well on our way to reaching our goal of $830,000!”
